1st edition of the CinéKourt festival

Bringing together student film buffs and film-makers from the Grand Paris region for a shared event in honour of the projects which do not always have the means to match their ambitions; such is the aim of the CinéKourt Festival, an event organised by student film buffs on the Champs-sur-Marne campus. With the aid of a grant of around €2,500 from the University’s Solidarity & Development Fund for Student Initiatives (FSDIE), the event enabled budding film-makers from the Ile-de-France area to screen their films before an attentive audience at an iconic venue in Seine-et-Marne, La Ferme du Buisson. The first edition was held on Friday 6 March, organised by the Cineko association in partnership with several audio-visual organisations in Ile-de-France. An audience of 180 discovered 12 films (selected from 116 entries), of which 4 received an award.
